Michigan
Concrete Paving Association's 38th Annual Workshop will be
held February 20-21, 2008 at the Troy Marriott. The workshop
will include presentations from concrete paving experts from around
Michigan and across the country.
Topics
at previous workshops have included warranties and incentives, legislative
funding issues, mix compatibility, MTU/MDOT base stability study,
dowel bar tolerance, proper curing methods, air
entrainment, stringline control issues, overlay scoping, whitetopping
design, streetpave softeware updates,
pervious concrete, concrete roundabouts and a host of other topics.
The
2008 workshop is structured into three independent levels (or tracks)
of training:
Construction:
For those involved in the actual construction process.
Design/Project Management:
Intended for designers and engineering professionals.
Contracting:
Senior managers and decision makers.
The
Workshop will also include MCPA's Annual Awards Dinner recognizing
outstanding concrete pavement projects completed in 2007.
